Dan and I aren’t really into Halloween so we didn’t do anything this year, we decided just to relax at home which was SO nice, we’ve been so so busy lately. That wasn’t true for Snowdrop though! I made her a little costume, which she didn’t seem to mind! I only kept it on long enough to take some photos though!

Big Dan decided at the last minute that he wanted to go to a party as The Hulk so came in with a bag of paint-pens. He didn’t get body paint or even face paint, no he opted for just normal water-based paint! At least it was kids paint and therefore non-toxic! So Lauren, Dan and I painted Big Dan green, including green eyeshadow, eyeliner and lipliner! LOL. I have a video of it which I’ll post once I’ve edited it!
As well as being all green, Big Dan’s costume was a pair of shorts, he wouldn’t even wear shoes! We went over to the shop to get some bits and everyone’s reactions were hilarious! I wish I’d taken a video but my battery was dead from the 45:00 of recording us painting! We then went to Burger King with equally hilarious reactions from people! I quickly made Big Dan this for his facebook photo:

Dan and I were REALLY tired this morning so decided not to go to church. Since Easter we’ve only had one week off work, so we’re both really drained. We’ve been super busy recently too which hasn’t been helping! Hopefully we’re getting some time off soon though, I can’t wait to have a week off and just be able to do nothing! I need some R&R so badly! We both need to de-stress! Other than general work-stress and tiredness things are really good right now. Dan has been really affectionate today which has made me really happy :) I know it doesn’t matter if we don’t have much money or spare time at the moment, I’m so happy just to be with him :)

Today was amazing! I actually managed to succesfully get up in time for church without the usual major rush getting ready, we even had time to grab some breakfast on the way! Church was good, although I completely forgot it was the harvest service today so felt really bad for forgetting to bring anything, I am still fairly new at this church thing so I’m letting myself off this once… as long as I remember next year!!
After the service there was a harvest ‘coffee’, which was actually more like a harvest lunch! It was amazing, I’ve never seen so much tasty looking food altogether! I had this delicious homemade tomato and vegetable soup (perfect considering it’s been pretty cold today!) and some nice sandwiches, I’m trying to be healthy and lose some weight so I resisted the many cakes on offer!
Dan and Big Dan them went off to buy on new Xbox game so I went for a walk with Livvy. She’s one of the new friends I have made down her, she only moved here a few months ago after she got married to Dan’s friend Olly, so it was really nice for us to have a chance to chat! We have a lot in common so get on pretty well, it’s nice to finally have some girls around here!!
Afterwards we all went with the church’s 20s/30s group on a trip round the caves, it was pretty good! I couldn’t believe what a vivid history they had, even in modern times. The people in the group are pretty nice, although I didn’t get to speak to all of them. I am incredibly shy – I think I acutally have some kind of social phobia – so I can’t usually talk to someone the first time I meet them. Once they seem a bit more familiar I’m usually more able to hold a conversation. My shyness is my biggest downfall :( but I was in a good mood so I was able to introduce myself to one of the girls I hadn’t talked to before and she seemed really nice, it helped that one of my new friends Laura was running it, so most of the people there weren’t new.
Livvy mentioned to me earlier that she’d noticed how much more confident in groups I’d gotten since I first met her even, I think I literally didn’t say a word the first time we met! It’s really bad as it makes me come across as stuck-up or moody but I’m just really really shy!!! I even get this on the internet, there are so many people I would love to be friends with because we have a lot in common but I just don’t now how to even begin to. Argggghh, it really is frustrating! It’s so much easier when I meet a really confident person who can just start talking first, that’s how I became friends with my very very good friend Deanna :) She was the only one patient enough in a whole group of people I met!!
I’m definately getting better though, I’ve met quite a few people my age at church now so I feel a bit more into the group, which is really nice for me because I’m just to always been the one standing on the outside looking in because I’ve just been too shy to talk to anyone. It’s not just shyness, my mind actually goes blank because I’m so scared, my heart beats faster, I feel stressed. Thankfully Dan knows this about me and is patient with me though :) He lets me be the first out of the two of us to talk to someone new so that I don’t end up getting left out, I love that he does things like that for me and understands me :)
I’m gonna play Sims 2 for a while now then get ready for bed!

Dan and I have been so ridiculously busy recently it’s no wonder I haven’t had time to post! Tonight we’re on our fifth night in a row of eating out! lol. We’ve had various birthday parties and trips to see all different people over summer so it’s nice that it’s all calmed down again for autumn! On saturday Dan had his first football match of the season to coach which was full of plenty of drama itself! (I may repost this on livejournal with more details as there are some things I really shouldn’t post where anyone can read it).
Saturday night we went to the Alpha Course party at church which was a really good night, it was nice to see some friends of ours and the dinner was amazing! It’s great for me to get to meet more people down here and especially more people from church. I have been living here a year but because I’m ridiculously shy it takes me ages to get comfortable enough around people to talk to them! It’s nice that there are quite a few faces I recognise now at church. I’ve never moved before so it’s a bit weird still! There are a couple of girls at church who are really nice and a new girl who started work there recently who I might be starting pilates with which will be a great way to finally start losing weight and to get to know some more people around here. Lauren (one of my best friends from home who just moved in with us) said she’s also interested in going so it’ll be good for her too to meet some new people. I’m also joining the church’s 20s/30s group, they organise regular events and I’ve been told they’re all really nice girls. I already know the girl who runs it, she is absolutely lovely and really fun to talk to. The first trip I’m going on is around our local caves (where my sister happens to go a lot even though she lives back in my hometown which is miles away!). I’ve always wanted to see them and Dan might come too. He used to live literally on top of the caves yet has never been down them! It’s our one tourist attraction here!
On sunday we went to Dan’s little sister’s roller-disco for her birthday, which was really fun! I was absolutely exhausted afterwards though and really achy! We had a home-made curry afterwards at Dan’s dad’s house and went there on monday as well for another curry! We actually went round to watch Heroes but it turns out that it’s not starting here until january :( but we saw the first episode of Fast Forward instead which looks really good and will keep us happy until january! Yesterday we had the first of the Alpha meetings and guess what? we had curry again for dinner! Tonight we’re going to Dan’s nan and grandad as we had to cancel on them last week due to a nightmare of a problem at work (we didn’t finish until about 8pm!). Hopefully we won’t have curry again tonight! haha.
Even though our weekends should be more relaxed now we are so busy in general, the weeks just fly by. We go to Dan’s dad’s on monday nights, alpha course on tuesdays, wednesday and thursdays are free, friday night we help out at our church’s youth club, saturday Dan has football (and I hopefully will be doing pilates soon) and sunday morning we go to church! So we are very busy people atm! lol. It’s really nice to have the time to go to church reguarly again now and start going for lunch with our friends afterwards again :)

Omgosh Blur were amazing! Best concert I’ve been to (although I missed out on the Best Damn Tour, that probably would’ve been better, just)! We were in the second row and completely squashed but it was great! Saturday we were at Livvy and Olly’s wedding which was lovely but we were sooooo tired from the seven hours of standing the day before! Yesterday was really fun too, we went to my parents’/sister’s and my grandparents, some family friends, my cousin Sarah and my friend Lauren were there (and my kittehs of course!). Had a really good BBQ and loads of fun in the sun playing uno! An amazing weekend, I really needed it! Just a shame I didn’t take any photos! :))))))))))))))))))))) P.S. Dan is amazing! I love him SO FREAKIN’ MUCH!
