We’re looking at both hotels and villas in Italy. Dan wants a private villa with a pool, which means self-catering, but I’m sure we’ll go out for dinner most nights!

We had a look at a lot of photographers websites and they were all so expensive for what I wanted. I began to give up hope and was going to settle for a cheap one I’d found, due to our tight budget. I wasn’t happy with the quality of their photographs though. I just happened to stumble across another photographer whilst looking for a potential DJ. Instantly I loved her website (the first photo I saw was of a bride and groom in black & white with the rose petals showering them in spot colour) she has a really artsy and modern style to her photos and her prices are really good!

Our photographer’s full package includes: 8 hours (bridal preparations to reception), full photo editing, a large photobook of the best images, thank you cards, a DVD of all the images, a website of all the images, and our favourite photo printed on a wall canvas! It is amazing and the price is reduced by £300 at the moment!

I am very excited to have her booked!

I found these adorable flip flops online that I really want to get for our honeymoon. They write ‘Just Married’ in the sand! I can’t decide which colour I like the best. I’m leaning towards the white ones as they’re more wedding-y.

Dan picked me up after work today and said he had one more appointment before we could go home. He drove towards my favourite place – this secluded lake – and I was surprised when he stopped there. We got out of the car and Dan grabbed the picnic bag I hadn’t noticed in the back. I was really confused because I’d been asking Dan if we could have a picnic there for the past three years but Dan kept saying no. I thought he didn’t like it there!

We walked to a place where absolutely no-one else was around and sat down under two trees that had arched over. Dan had packed pimms flavoured Schloer and all ky favourite foods: vegetarian sushi, antipasta and mini strawberry cheesecakes!

When we’d finished eating Dan got something out of the bag and twisted to face me. I then realised it was the ring I’d told him I liked and he asked me to marry him! I of course said yes! It was then that I saw the strawberry cheesecake which made me laugh (a private joke between us to do with getting engaged).

We walked bounced around the beautiful countryside for a while then went to Home Group to tell our friends and celebrate with a cup of tea! (after telling our house mates and parents of course!)

This weekend was especially fun, aside from Dan and I both feeling completely exhausted/on the verge of becoming sick. Tomorrow is my sister Ashley’s 18th birthday so we all went with my mum to Top Golf for the day. We played a game on driving range, messed around taking photos on the podiums and played adventure (mini) golf. It was absolutely freezing but so much fun! At one point I hit my ball into the water trap, expecting it to just make a splash, but it bounced several times over the surface- it was completely frozen over!

Afterwards we had a yummy roast dinner made by my dad and fairycakes my mum had made for my sister (because she doesn’t like birthday cake). Then Dan watched several football matches (whilst I was drifting in and out of consciousness on the couch and played with my kitties) and gave me loads of cuddles until it was time to leave. He has been so cute and romantic the past few days :)

It was a really nice, relaxing weekend. Sometimes I just need to get away from the concrete jungle and mad rush that is London…but it’s always fun on the journey back to see all the pretty lights :) I love the feeling of travelling, it puts me in the perfect state of mind to daydream (and blog)!

I wish I could learn to stop worrying, to let my guard down and to make the most of all the wonderful things in my life. I have so much to look forward to with Dan and the new friends I have made here, and I don’t want to miss a moment of it!

This is partially why my new year’s resolution this year is to complete a 365 project. I have wanted to do one for so long and I’m getting a new camera for Christmas =) My reasons in the past for taking photos were mainly because I have such a bad memory but I want to do this project to improve my photography and photoshop skills – something I’ve been wanting to do for years. It’ll be hosted on my flickr account starting Jan 1st 2010! I’m hoping some interesting things will be recorded in it!

It was Dan’s birthday today. We both had the day off work and relaxed most of the day which was really nice. I mostly played on farmville/town and Dan played Sims 3. We’re married and have two sets of twins on it!

Our flatmate Big Dan and Rich, another of Dan’s friends, played Sims 3 with Dan and I did some housework and got ready to go out. We went to the harvester for dinner with Dan’s mum, little brother and sister and his other brother and girlfriend. Dinner was nice although the service was slow! I had cheese and cherry tomato risotto stuffed mushrooms and Dan has a 12oz steak (with onion rings of course) – his favourite! Then we had a giant rocky road (chocolate fudge cake with loads of ice-cream and cream) for dessert.

I forgot my phone so couldn’t take pictures at dinner, so I took this one afterwards. I wish it hadn’t come out blurry but I still love it. (I did take this before midnight, I’m just late uploading it).
